From testing to implementing

In its first year, Phase 8 stabilised key multilingual tests by establishing more robust workflows, expanding support for accessibility and localised adaptation, and setting course for the inclusion of the Danish language.

Narrated versions

To honour the language diversity of ARTE’s editorial content, certain productions were partially narrated in English, Spanish, Polish, and Italian to make the catalogue more accessible to target audiences.

  • Prompt

By asking seemingly banal questions to his imaginary conversational agent, Jocelyn Collages, an illustrator driven by the ‘unfair competition’ of generative AI, conjures up crazy exchanges that invite us to reflect on the absurdities, dangers and infinite possibilities of AI in storytelling.

To push the creative logic of the program even further, a synthetic voice was developed for all four languages.

  • ARTE Regards

Discover Europe from all its diverse points of view, meet Europeans, find out about their interests and gain a better understanding of the issues they face.

Mix of an English, Spanish or Polish narrator’s voice with subtitles from the original interviews to respect language diversity.

  • Duels of History

From Lucrezia Borgia to Malinche to Marie Curie: Women’s contributions have often been downplayed or misrepresented in the history books. Duels of History (re)tells their stories.
